The Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF) is now accepting nominations for its 2014 Leadership and Trailblazer Awards, which are given annually to outstanding members of the foodservice industry and are seen as a mark of excellence in the field.

As WFF approaches its 25th anniversary, the Leadership and Trailblazer Awards represent significant progress toward the organization’s goal of advancing women leaders. The awards will be announced at the Annual Leadership Development Conference held in Dallas March 23-26, 2014.

The Leadership Award is given to a woman executive in the foodservice industry who shows exceptional leadership qualities within her company and the industry at large, and whose professional growth and achievements are recognized through career advancement. The 2013 recipient of the Leadership Award was Georgia Pacific executive vice president, consumer products group, Kathy Walters.

The Trailblazer Award is given to an individual who has shown dedication to improving the foodservice industry through support of gender diversity, creating new pathways for women in their company and the industry at large, and implementing them at all levels of their organization. Last year, the recipient of the Trailblazer Award was Daymon Worldwide president and CEO, Carla Cooper.

Nominations for both the Leadership and Trailblazer Awards are due October 15. For more information about the awards and to submit a nomination, please visit the WFF website.
