The Culinary Institute of America has appointed Jacquelyn (Jackie) Nealon as the college's vice president of enrollment management. Dr. Nealon joined the college on January 11 after serving as chief of staff and vice president of enrollment, campus life, and communications at Long Island University in Brookville, New Yorl, since 2013. She replaces Bruce Hillenbrand, who is retiring after 12 years at the CIA.

Dr. Nealon's strong and varied background in higher education also includes serving as vice president of enrollment, communications, and marketing at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT); director of recruitment and acting director of enrollment services at Seton Hall University; and dean of graduate and part-time admissions at Hofstra University. At NYIT, she was also an adjunct associate professor of communications.

"Jackie provides The Culinary Institute of America with the scope and experience demanded by our college's unique enrollment environment," says CIA President Dr. Tim Ryan. "She brings substantial experience and understanding of not only enrollment management, but international recruitment, financial aid, marketing, and communications as well."

As vice president of enrollment management, Dr. Nealon is responsible for all student recruitment and retention efforts for the CIA's associate, bachelor's, and graduate level education programs at the not-for-profit college's four campuses worldwide.

Jackie Nealon earned her doctorate in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Master of Arts degree in strategic leadership and communication from Seton Hall University, and Bachelor of Arts in English from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.
