Manitowoc Foodservice announces the appointment of Chris Karssiens to the role of executive vice president of Foodservice Asia Pacific (APAC) effective immediately. In his new role, Chris will be responsible for fulfilling APAC strategy and achieving APAC annual business plans, and overseeing Foshan, Hangzhou, and Singapore operations as well as our Joint Venture company near Bangkok.  Chris will report directly to Robert Hund, president, Manitowoc Foodservice. 

Chris Karssiens brings a wealth of experience to this position.  Recently, Chris served as the vice president, general manager, of Custom Fabrication business and prior to that role from 2009–2011, he was vice president General Market Sales Americas. Before the acquisition of Enodis, Chris was the executive leader for Enodis’ Asia-Pacific operations from 2005–2009.  Under Enodis, Chris joined the company in 1998 as vice president of sales for Scotsman Ice Systems and has held key leadership positions including commercial president for Enodis USA, president of Jackson MSC and president of IOM. 

Chris and his wife Paula will relocate to Singapore in the coming months.
