Metz Culinary Management has hired Brian Bachman as vice president of purchasing. In this role, the 25-year foodservice industry veteran will oversee the purchasing department and be responsible for ensuring compliance company-wide, including school districts, healthcare, higher education, business/industry, and restaurant accounts.

“Brian will help keep Metz ahead of the curve when it comes to purchasing healthy and sustainable products at the best possible prices for our partners,” says Jeff Metz, president and CEO of Metz Culinary Management. “His experience in foodservice and group purchasing will be a great asset to our team and we welcome him to the Metz family.”

Bachman plans to continue Metz’s initiatives to provide clients with sustainable products when making purchasing decisions. He also plans to develop new purchasing opportunities and partnerships that will help clients reduce costs and still provide exceptional products.

Before joining Metz Culinary Management, Bachman served as senior director of foodservice operational strategy for Premier Inc. In this role, he was responsible for the group purchasing organization (GPO), where he primarily worked with clients and suppliers to deliver foodservice solutions and savings.

Bachman received a Bachelor’s of Science from West Chester University in nutrition, and is a registered dietitian.
