Diners looking to eat “junk free” barbeque beef can now do so at The Shed BBQ & Blues Joint courtesy of Meyer Natural Angus Beef. The restaurant with two Mississippi locations started the partnership with the country’s leading producer of humanely raised antibiotic and hormone free beef in February.

“The Shed has worked diligently over the past two years to eliminate all junk from our barbeque sauces and marinades. The sauces are now gluten-free, with no high-fructose corn syrup, MSG, trans-fats, preservatives, nor artificial colorings,” says The Shed marketing director Linda Orrison. “It is an obvious transition for us to says with Meyer Natural Angus to promote and serve a perfectly all-natural product from meat to sauce.  We are excited and proud of this new journey into healthier eating.”

Menu items featuring Meyer include the beef brisket, Macho Nachos, and The Shed Sampler.

“Joining forces with an innovative restaurant like The Shed is just another step in making consumers aware not only of the importance of choosing sustainable and quality products, but a reminder they can be included whether you’re eating out or eating at home,” says Meyer Natural Foods director of marketing Chris Anderson.

In addition to the new partnership with The Shed, Meyer Natural Angus will also expand their venture into the barbecue world as the platinum sponsor of the National Barbecue Association Conference and Trade Show. Hundreds from the barbecue industry will descend on San Marcos, Texas, on March 4-8 where they’ll learn about the latest news and trends and enjoy the beef from Meyer.
