Dallas-based Falcon Realty Advisors’ Restaurant and Entertainment Group has been hired by Concept! Entertainment to advise on the Texas expansion of its Portland-based restaurant chain, Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill. Michael Walters, president of Falcon’s Restaurant and Entertainment Group, will be leading the statewide search across the major metropolitan areas, including Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin.

The gastropub and grill is seeking prominent end caps or free standing locations with around 7,500 square-feet spaces with patios. Locations in retail trade areas with above-average income markets and a strong daytime population, are preferred. Thirsty Lion currently operates six stores across Oregon, Colorado, and Arizona, with additional locations in Colorado and Arizona opening in spring 2016.

“Falcon will be introducing Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill to multiple markets throughout the biggest cities in Texas,” Walters says. “Our extensive roll out plan will consist of two to four opening each year.”

Principal member John Plew founded Concept! Entertainment, the hospitality management company that specializes in developing and operating creative restaurant, bar and entertainment venues, in 1990. Recognized as a leader in the entertainment industry by the National Nightclub & Bar Association and various business journal publications, Plew manages more than 700 employees across eight locations of its Bar & Grill concepts, Thirsty Lion, Grand Central, and Lotus.

Falcon’s Restaurant and Entertainment Group represents many emerging brands, such as Meso Maya, Hopdoddy, The Matador, Velvet Taco, Grub Burger, Modern Market, and Raised Pallet. Other clients in Falcon’s portfolio consist of top chain retailers, including Whole Foods, Petco, Mattress Firm, Junior’s Restaurant and Bakery, Twin Peaks, Robbins Brothers, and iPic Theaters.
