Shoney's announced Wednesday the addition of Terri Harof as director of franchise sales, a newly created position.

Harof will be responsible for marketing, business development, sales strategy, and franchise support as Shoney's is now offering franchising opportunities worldwide. Harof is a proven business leader with over 20 years management, sales, and marketing experience within the hospitality industry.

"Now, we're introducing Shoney's to a new generation in new markets throughout the world by expanding via franchising with redesigned restaurants and a renewed dedication to fresh quality food, friendly service at a great value."

Most recently, Harof worked for Hyatt Hotels. She played a key role in the site selection, construction, grand opening, and management for Hyatt Atlanta Perimeter at Villa Christina. Hyatt Atlanta is the number one Hyatt franchise and is in the top 10 of Hyatt Hotels worldwide for sales, service and operations.

Prior to working at the Hyatt, Harof was vice president of advertising, public relations and events for 20First Hospitality, a hospitality management company based in Atlanta with more than $15 million in annual sales. Harof earned her degree from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Public Relations.
