Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom, a traditional casual dining restaurant known for its handmade pizza and craft beers, announced that its newest location is slated to open in Shoal Creek, Missouri, at 8251 N. Booth Ave. The new restaurant, scheduled to open on October 5, will be the city’s first location, and will create around 120 jobs for the area. To celebrate the upcoming opening, Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom has partnered with the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City and will donate proceeds from its pre-opening dinners on October 1-3 to the organization.

“We’re excited to introduce our freshly hand-made pizza, diverse menu of world-class craft beers and quality, handcrafted taproom classics to the Shoal Creek community,” says Taylor James Ewing, Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom Shoal Creek general manager. “We look forward to becoming a favorite dining destination for local residents and businesses alike.”

Old Chicago serves its made-from-scratch pizza in locations nationwide and offers three crust types that are made in-house every day—Chicago Thick, a buttery hand-tossed cornmeal crust, served in the pan; Tavern Thin, which has a light and crispy texture and is served square-cut and Ale Crust, a soft and lightly sweetened handcrafted crust spiked with brown ale. Loaded with a variety of toppings, every pizza is made to order. Some of the most popular specialty pizza selections include:

Chicago 7 Pizza, pepperoni, Italian sausage, red onions, black olives, green peppers, sliced mushrooms ,and signature house pizza sauce.

Meat Me Pizza, loaded with four premium meaty toppings and garnished with green olives and fresh basil.

Thai Pie, roasted chicken, mushrooms, red peppers, broccoli, and Thai chili sauce, topped with green onions, teriyaki, sesame seeds, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese.

Tuscan Chicken with Spinach, lemon garlic sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, applewood spiced chicken, bruschetta tomatoes, and roasted garlic, then topped with fresh spinach tossed in lemon vinaigrette.
