RCP Companies recently announced its newest addition to the MidCity District, Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar. In 2024, the beloved Southern eatery will begin construction on its first Alabama location in the heart of the MidCity District.
The upscale Southern restaurant, known for its scratch-made Southern food, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner at 22 locations nationwide. Tupelo Honey’s Huntsville location, situated on the first floor of MidCity District’s first residential building Metronome, will offer the same made-from-scratch food, drinks and hospitality it has crafted for more than 23 years.
“We’re excited to add Alabama’s first Tupelo Honey location to MidCity District’s growing portfolio of exceptional tenants,” says Nadia Niakossary, RCP Companies senior director of development. “A proven concept in numerous rapidly growing cities – from Dallas to Asheville – Tupelo Honey will be a fantastic addition for MidCity visitors and residents alike looking for a delicious Southern breakfast, lunch or dinner.”
Tupelo Honey was one of the first farm-to-table restaurants in Ashville, N.C., infusing its Southern and Appalachian spirit into every aspect of the restaurant, and it continues to provide the same tried-and-true concept on a national scale today.
“We’d searched for our first Alabama location for several years before selecting Huntsville. MidCity is an extraordinary project that goes beyond the mixed-use elements we look for. The master plan intelligently blends the concept of live, work and play with a dynamic entertainment component,” says Stephen Frabitore, CEO of Tupelo Honey. “MidCity District is quickly becoming a multi-state gathering spot, and we are thrilled to be a part of the story.”
Tupelo Honey offers an extensive menu featuring Southern-inspired dishes made with a modern twist. The Southern-inspired restaurant also offers an exciting beverage program, including handcrafted cocktails, local craft beers and an exceptional wine selection.
The restaurant will be a destination for food lovers, families and friends, creating memorable moments while savoring Southern-inspired culinary delights. Tupelo Honey plans to open mid-year in 2024.
