Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurants announced plans to open an Illinois location in Oak Lawn, slated for opening in the first quarter of 2015. The 10,000-square-foot space will be part of the Stony Creek Promenade, located on Cicero Avenue and 111th Street, and upon its opening will mark the company's eighth Illinois location and 20th nationwide.

The full-service restaurant serves eclectic, contemporary American cuisine in a winery atmosphere, complete with a Napa-style tasting room, wine club, and retail shop. Cooper's Hawk Oak Lawn location will bring an estimated 150 new jobs to the area.

Founded by Chicago south suburbs native Tim McEnery, Cooper's Hawk first opened its doors in Orland Park, roughly 10 miles south of Oak Lawn, in 2005.

"We have often had guests in our Orland Park location mention that Oak Lawn would be a great area for a Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurant," says Ron Dee, senior vice president of development at Cooper's Hawk. "We researched the market and discovered that over 390,000 people live in the area with limited full-service dining options in the market. When Hamilton Partners approached us to be part of a brand new retail center including a new Mariano's supermarket, we knew the synergy of our two brands would be a winning combination. Additionally, Mayor Bury and her team at the Village of Oak Lawn have been very supportive every step of the way."

"Coopers Hawk Winery and Restaurant will be a perfect fit in our community and at Stony Creek Promenade," Oak Lawn Mayor Sandra Bury says. "I know area residents will really love being able to enjoy their excellent food and wine right in the neighborhood, and I love their plans for outdoor dining near the water feature! This is a great win for Oak Lawn and I want to thank Cooper's Hawk, Hamilton Partners, and our business development team for bringing the quality establishments that Oak Lawn loves to Stony Creek Promenade."
