In 1984, Rosa Mexicano opened its flagship restaurant on New York’s Upper East Side and made its mark as the first to introduce fine dining Mexican fare in the area. It has since evolved into an icon of a traditional Mexican food experience in New York City. The brand now operates 11 locations across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Washington DC, and Florida.

The brand took on capital to accelerate growth from TriSpan, a leading private equity investor in the restaurant space in 2018 and has since been focused on growing nationally.

“We are proud to have such an iconic brand as part of the Rising Stars Portfolio and believe that guests should be able to experience Rosa Mexicano nationally. We have worked closely with the management team on evolving the brand and making it more experiential, while still being authentic and approachable. We are excited for this next chapter of the brand,” says Anthony Freijy, a Partner at TriSpan and Board Member of Rosa Mexicano.

The brand takes its next step in this growth on November 10, when Rosa Mexicano opens its 12th location in Las Vegas on the Strip with a flagship store on Miracle Mile, Planet Hollywood (3663 South Las Vegas Boulevard, Suite 730, Las Vegas, NV 89109).

This 15,000 sq ft restaurant features custom murals, booth seating, a full bar, a patio and outdoor seating. The menu will feature authentic and elevated Mexican cuisine. Highlights include a brand new Mexican steakhouse menu in addition to tableside guacamole and regular menu stars, great entertainment, and original nitro margaritas.

“We’re thrilled to bring Rosa Mexicano to center stage in Las Vegas. And we are excited to offer a truly elevated and authentic Mexican experience through our traditionally made-from-scratch food and our signature margaritas that have stood the test of time,” adds CEO Jim Dunn. “Our passion for hospitality, attentive service, and authenticity is a part of our DNA, and we’re looking forward to serving up an amazing experience to each of our guests in one of the most dynamic markets in the world.”

The brand’s mission is to continue to expand access to authentic Mexican cuisine across the United States as it seeks to continue to grow over the coming years.
