Stagecoach Country Roadhouse (“Stagecoach”), a restaurant concept by Wild Thyme Restaurant Group, is expanding to Southern California following a successful first location in Sedona, Arizona. The restaurant brings a unique blend of modern BBQ, smoked meats, creative appetizers, hand cut steaks and flavorful hamburgers to each of its communities. September 15, Stagecoach officially opened its doors in Orange, CA, with the opening in Riverside, CA slated for this fall. At both locations, guests can experience the modern, yet rustic, roadhouse elements, lively atmosphere, and southern hospitality that fans of the Sedona concept know and love.

“We are thrilled to introduce Californians to the beloved BBQ flavors and warm hospitality that have made Stagecoach a premiere dining destination,” said Heinrich Stasiuk, Chairman of Wild Thyme Restaurant Group. “As we look to expand Stagecoach’s footprint, we believe Southern California is a great place to kick-off our growth, and we look forward to giving more communities the opportunity to experience the concept’s charm.”

BBQ MEETS CONTEMPORARY FLAVORS

Under the experienced leadership of Corporate Chef Bert Bonnarens, Stagecoach draws inspiration from familiar BBQ classics to develop new, contemporary flavors and culinary favorites. Guests can choose from a delicious and diverse collection of dishes including Overstuffed Bacon & Eggs featuring Wild Thyme’s famous deviled eggs, celery, bacon, chives and paprika; Potato Skins with cheddar cheese, scallions, bacon and sour cream; roadhouse specialties like the Pulled Pork Plate with smoked pulled pork, cabbage, apple slaw and fries; Fish N’ Chips featuring beer battered white fish, fries, cabbage and apple slaw and tartar sauce; homemade burger patties made fresh daily from ribeye and chuck and hand cut steaks. Not to mention the fan-favorite Loaded Gun Board, a platter of baby back ribs, pulled pork, andouille sausage, pickles, onions, jalapenos, and grilled bread. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available upon request.

To complete each meal, Stagecoach Orange offers a classic style Margarita on tap, while Riverside will offer an extensive beverage program including specialty cocktails like the Blood Orange Mezcalita with Bruxo Mezcal, blood orange puree, lime and agave; and Roadhouse Colada made with freshly squeezed pineapple juice, Zacapa Rum, Malibu Rum and whipped Coco Lopez. Both locations feature beers on tap along with a selection of wine.

COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF

A Belgium native, Chef Bonnarens’ culinary journey has led him through Bruges, South America, Mexico and Amsterdam where he worked at renowned, Michelin-starred restaurants before expanding into his gastronomic heritage to focus on international fusion cuisine. In 2021, Chef Bonnarens moved to America to join Wild Thyme Restaurant Group, where he now oversees culinary operations and manages all Stagecoach locations.

SETTING THE SCENE

The beauty of Stagecoach’s new locations is that each one has a unique ambiance while still maintaining the overall vibe that the concept boasts. Upon entering the Orange location, diners will enter a casual, light and airy interpretation of a roadhouse, while Riverside transports guests into a full, modern-day roadhouse featuring leatherback seats, wooden accents throughout the space, western-inspired lights, tethered wall sconces and stone walls. The energetic atmosphere of both locations is complete with a mix of country music, contemporary and classic tracks which are always queued up to keep the good times going.
