After more than twenty years of delivering exceptional Italian cuisine and impeccable hospitality in Long Island, Il Mulino New York’s prestigious Roslyn restaurant has undergone a remarkable transformation, setting the stage for elevated dining experiences for years to come. This extensive renovation project has breathed new life into the iconic establishment, combining modern aesthetics with timeless elegance to create a captivating ambiance for its cherished guests.
The redesign journey began earlier this year, as Il Mulino New York embarked on a mission to modernize the aesthetics of the restaurant while also providing further opportunities for private dining. The result is a harmonious blend of contemporary design and classic charm, seamlessly fusing the old and the new. Guests stepping into the revitalized restaurant will be greeted by a fresh and inviting atmosphere, where rounded leather booths and arched mirrors provide an enhanced sense of intimacy, while warm, neutral colors envelop diners in a comfortable and stylish setting.
No detail has been overlooked in this transformation. From sparkling chandeliers to meticulously refurbished wood and stone elements, every facet of Il Mulino New York’s Long Island restaurant has been carefully considered and curated. The addition of new chairs, lighter tones, and a contemporary layout has resulted in a brighter and more welcoming ambiance that complements the exceptional culinary offerings.
One of the standout features of the renovation is a new alcove for private dining, exuding sophistication and modernity. Designed to cater to up to 30 guests, the alcove is characterized by its contemporary aesthetics, thoughtful amenities, and a focus on creating memorable dining experience. Nestled within the restaurant’s chic interior, it has the ability to be transformed to fit guest’s every need.
Il Mulino New York’s Long Island restaurant also debuts a secondary private dining space, aptly named “The Vintage Room.” Located on the restaurant’s basement level, the space brings a design that differs from the rest of the restaurant including modern black & white features. The Vintage Room accodates up to 80 guests and allows for multiple event setups including plated dinners, buffets, cocktail receptions and more.
The completion of this remarkable renovation journey culminates in a momentous occasion for Il Mulino New York and its patrons. On September 14, 2023, the restaurant hosted a “Pasta-Cutting Ceremony” to officially introduce the restaurant’s renewed design, followed by a joyous celebration. Guests enjoyed champagne, wine, and an array of delectable dishes that showcase the essence of Il Mulino New York.
The brand also recently announced the expansion of its restaurant license division and is actively seeking opportunities for hotel owners and brand partners to become brand licensees, offering them the chance to leverage the iconic Il Mulino menu with a choice among its Il Mulino New York, Trattoria Il Mulino, or Il Mulino Prime concepts. Il Mulino New York’s restaurant license division presents an exciting opportunity for hotel owners and brand partners to open a full-service Il Mulino restaurant and bar within their properties. With a robust support infrastructure and strong return on investment potential, Il Mulino offers a proven business model for success. Currently, Il Mulino has three successful licensing partners at prominent hotels including Swan & Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, FL, Hilton in Nashville, TN, and Mt. Airy Lodge in Mt. Airy, PA, all of which boast impressive food and beverage sales.
Il Mulino New York also just announced an updated line of Il Mulino Sauces that will elevate dishes at home, bringing quality and authenticity. Developed with the finest ingredients by Il Mulino New York Executive Chef, Michele Mazza, the brand has debuted three varieties: classic Marinara sauce, decadent Vodka Cream and invigorating Pomodoro sauce. What sets Il Mulino New York’s pasta sauces apart is not just their premium ingredients, but the passion and expertise that go into each jar. Il Mulino’s sauces have no dyes, preservatives, or coloring – only natural ingredients. Chef Mazza has used high-quality San Marzano tomatoes to providing excellent flavor, texture and authenticity to the sauces. Il Mulino Sauces are now available for purchase nationwide and will be available at stores nationwide just in time for the holiday gifting season.
For over 40 years, Il Mulino New York has been preparing authentic Abruzzese cuisine with unparalleled service, earning it the reputation as Manhattan’s No. 1 Italian restaurant by Zagat for decades. Known for its “one-of-a-kind” cuisine and “outstanding Italian classic” dishes, Il Mulino New York embodies the Italian tradition of fine food and hospitality, creating a memorable dining experience for its guests. Whether enjoying a meal in the main dining room or hosting a private event in The Vintage Room, guests are sure to be delighted by the outstanding cuisine and impeccable service that have made Il Mulino New York a beloved destination for cuisine lovers worldwide.
