The 29th Carolina Ale House will open February 29 in the Short Pump area of Glen Allen, Virginia, a remodel of the former Mimi’s Café building. This is the concept’s first location in Virginia. The new restaurant, located at 11275 West Broad Street, will generate around 140 jobs for the local community.
“We are excited to bring Carolina Ale House to Virginia,” says Lou Moshakos, owner of LM Restaurants, the hospitality management group affiliated with the Virginia location. “We are looking for A-plus locations across the Southeast. Richmond provides the perfect balance of a university and professional community. We’re confident this will be a great fit and look forward to building a strong community partnership in this neighborhood; it’s all about the neighbors.” The brand plans to continue expanding into new markets including Miami in late April.
The Carolina Ale House core elements of success include a scratch-kitchen and the use of fresh ingredients. The neighborhood bar will feature 72 draft beers (including a great local Richmond selection and craft beer lineup) and a 99 bottle selection. American spirit cocktails and a selection of wines will also be available. Local sports memorabilia and wall-to-wall high-definition TVs to provide the ultimate sports viewing experience.
