The Homer Laughlin China Company and its employee members of the Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics & Allied Workers Union (GMP) Local 419 reached an agreement on a new three-year labor contract. Union officials, led by Tom Hubbard, GMP Local 419 president, informed Homer Laughlin that the agreement had been confirmed. Approximately 600 union-represented employees are covered by the approved contract.
Homer Laughlin President Elizabeth McIlvain says, “Although healthcare prices have continued to rise, we were able to reach an agreement that suited both parties. This three-year contract demonstrates that both sides were committed to reaching a consensus.”

It not only provides a good job package, but also allows us to continue the manufacture of our high-quality, American-made dinnerware right here in West Virginia, USA.”
