To help operators form and fry menu items from tortilla bowls and cups to chimichangas and taquitos, Mission Foodservice launches new Fry-Ready Tortillas.

Made with a hint of corn flour to achieve the ideal flavor and performance, Mission Fry-Ready Tortillas are designed for frying and serving in any operation. When fried, these shelf-stable tortillas boast a golden brown appearance and a soft, flaky texture.

“We developed Fry-Ready Tortillas to give operators a more efficient, flavorful way to menu fried applications,” says Rose Olcese, foodservice marketing manager for Mission Foods. “The savory, buttery flavor and crispy texture make these tortillas a great base for taco salads, Mexican-themed breakfast bowls, tostadas, taquitos, and more.”

Fry-Ready Tortillas are available in 6-inch, 8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch diameters. To prepare, use a form or metal tongs to shape the tortilla into the desired shape while in the fryer. Once the tortilla reaches the preferred color and crispness, remove the tortilla from the fryer and let it cool before serving.

MissionFoodservice.com hosts inspiration for Fry-Ready Tortillas, including Chimichurri Steak Taquitos. This dish features grilled skirt steak, savory herb-infused Chimichurri, black beans and queso fresco inside a crispy fried tortilla.
