Revention recently announced its integration with Insteon, leaders in premier automation and control technology.  The Insteon integration will allow Revention's point of sale to control various devices such as light fixtures, door locks, WiFi cameras, and thermostats.  The first implementation of the Insteon technology includes the regulation of lighting fixtures indicating a pool table, dart board or other bar activity is in use and a timer is active on an order within the point of sale.

The Insteon integration allows the business to streamline operations and increase efficiencies by automating manual tasks.  An owner can immediately determine how many activities are in use and validate appropriate fees are being charged.  The use of this tool will keep energy costs down and allow businesses to stay connected with their devices through one source.

"Offering a networking tool like Insteon to our customers is a step forward into our future capabilities with the Internet of Things (IoT), an initiative currently being pursued by the restaurant industry.  The hands free, automatic light fixture will not only affect the energy use as a whole but provide additional control to restaurant and bar management," says Laura Gaudin, Director of Product Management at Revention.
