Bonnie Hall, senior manager, commodities procurement and quality for S&D Coffee & Tea, has been named to the board of directors for the Tea Association of the USA. Hall brings more than eight years of experience in the coffee and tea industry to the role.

As a board member, Hall will vote on and support activities, projects and events that align with the Association’s goals around regulation, guidelines, membership, communication and talent. She will also leverage her expertise as a certified tea specialist, accredited by the Specialty Tea Institute, the educational division of the Tea Association of the USA.

“Serving on the Tea Association of the USA board allows me to broaden S&D’s participation at the industry level and further connect with the tea community,” says Hall. “Through this position, I hope to bring insight to the S&D team that will inform our procurement efforts and enhance our understanding of the tea industry—positioning us to help support and shape its future.”

Hall joined S&D in 2015 after beginning her career as part of a commodities quality group for a large U.S.-based coffee manufacturer, where she managed specifications, project initiatives, process improvement and supply quali­fication. She currently leads S&D’s Concord-based tea purchasing and quality initiatives, and her responsibilities include tea sourcing, quality issues and core tea product development, in addition to similar duties on the coffee quality side. In addition to her role with the Tea Association of the USA, she is a member of the steering committee for the Tea 2030 project.
