Start those engines, Indianapolis, because you’ve been given the green flag to enjoy traditional Cajun and Americana Cuisine with Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux opening its doors on May 15.

Located at 247 S. Meridian St., the new restaurant marks the second in Indiana, but its debut in the Capital city. With its scratch-made burgers, premium seafood, extensive bar menu and wall-to-wall TV’s, Walk-On’s will serve as the perfect place to cheer on the Colts, Pacers, Hoosiers and catch all the high-octane action from the 107th running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 28.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will kick things off at 10 a.m. on opening day, hosted by Walk-On’s executive team members and its Indianapolis franchise partners. And to add to the excitement, one of the first 100 guests in line will have a chance to win free Walk-On’s for a year with the winner selected at random and announced later in the day.

“Walk-On’s has become one of America’s favorite places to have a gourmet meal while watching your favorite team, so we’re excited to finally be able to bring that same experience to Indianapolis,” says Franchisee Todd Johnson. “We can’t wait for fans to get their first taste of fun with an unforgettable opening day celebration. It will surely be a one-of-a-kind experience with a chance to meet a Hall of Famer and win free food, so be sure to get there early!”

Once open, Walk-On’s Indianapolis will serve guests Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight. This will also be the first Walk-On’s development in Indiana for new franchisee and NFL Hall of Fame linebacker Derrick Brooks, who also has a hand in the Clarksville location that is slated to open later this summer.

At Walk-On’s, each dish is made from scratch, using fresh ingredients to bring a taste of Louisiana to every dish. The diverse menu features unique twists on game-day staples and upscale takes on Louisiana mainstays, such as Crawfish Etouffee and Duck & Andouille Gumbo.
