#PizzaAndLove is the fitting brand motto boasted by Eleventh Street Pizza, the loved-by-locals restaurant, which will officially open its second location in the ever-expanding Dadeland area (9025 SW 72nd Place) in South Miami on Thursday, May 18th. To celebrate the grand opening, Eleventh Street Pizza will be handing out free cheese pizza pies (in store order only) to the first 50 people in line starting at 4 p.m.

Since the launch of the flagship in February 2021, Eleventh Street Pizza has become a favorite among foodies and snapshot-happy visitors, influenced by a menu oozing with delicious Neo-New York-style dishes. Eleventh Street’s trademark is their exclusive sourdough pies and naturally-leavened Sicilian sourdough square pies that taste as indulgent as they look and keep loyal patrons coming back again and again.

“My goal with Eleventh Street Pizza from day one has been to enrich the Miami dining scene with a concept that combines the best of two worlds: the New York style pizzas I grew up eating, made with the highest quality ingredients that are also organic,” says celebrated restaurateur David Foulquier, a born-and-bred New Yorker who co-owns the restaurant together with his brother Joshua and partner Danielle Hultman under the brothers’ company, We All Gotta Eat Hospitality Group. “Being able to spread our mantra of pizza and love to Downtown Dadeland, in a larger space, is an exciting progression that we hope to continue throughout South Florida.”

Savvy food sleuths will recall that Foulquier’s first foray into the South Florida restaurant community began in 2015 with Fooq’s, an award-winning eatery offering dishes inspired by the restauranteur’s French-Persian heritage and located at what is now the original Eleventh Street Pizza station in Downtown Miami (1035 N. Miami Avenue). Foulquier and his brother, are also the proprietors and creative minds behind Sushi Noz, the eight-seat Manhattan sushi restaurant opened in 2018, which went on to receive three, one Michelin stars.

The new Dadeland location will nearly double in size to its sister, with more than 20 indoor seats and 20 outdoor seats.  A menu provides a roster of signature pies that can be varied in ordering styles including rounds as well as their Sicilian-style squares. There is also a new pie size (a smaller size at a lower price point) at 14 inches which feeds 1-2 people, whereas the Sicilians are 8×10 and feed 2-3 people. Pies including classics like The Classic Cheese –  where you can add toppings such as pepperoni, mushrooms, pepperoncini peppers and even locally made burrata – and received an outstanding 8.2 score by Barstool Sports Dave Portnoy; The Brooklyn Cheese with sauce on top; and Pepperoni & Hot Honey. Other pies show off Foulquier’s epicurean influence, like the Wild Shroom, with crimini mushrooms, thyme, shallot, mozzarella, garlic confit, caramelized onions and parsley; Tomato & Burrata, with organic Bianco DiNapoli tomatoes, local burrata (made fresh daily), garlic, olive oil and fresh basil; and La Provençal with organic Bianco DiNapoli tomatoes, confit garlic, roasted red onions, zucchini, basil, pepperoncini and sourdough breadcrumbs.

Starters round out the pizza experience and include New York style sourdough Garlic Knots served with marinara on the side, the Spicy Caesar made with baby gem lettuce, house caesar dressing with calabrian chiles, sourdough breadcrumbs and Parmigiano-Reggiano, and the Fooq’s Meatballs, which includes three large meatballs made with a blend of beef and pork, Bianco DiNapoli tomatoes, Parmigiano-Reggiano and fresh basil. The brand’s fan-favorite, Freshly Baked Chocolate Chip, and new to the menu is a Basque style Cheesecake, which is light and scorched and caramelized on the top with a rich, gooey interior. There will also be a selection of beer and wine offerings for diners to choose from, with a happy hour to come. A selection of wine bottles to-go along with Eleventh Street Pizza merchandise will be sold in the shop.
