Black Bear Diner announced the recent opening of its second diner in San Antonio, Texas. The newest location follows the company’s entry into the San Antonio market this past November and marks Black Bear Diner’s seventh diner to open with franchise-partner TravelCenters of America (TA).

“We are so appreciative of the incredible hospitality and overwhelming support Texans have shown us,” said Anita Adams, CEO of Black Bear Diner. “We look forward to welcoming more folks into our diners as we continue to expand our footprint throughout the Lone Star state.”

Black Bear Diner’s new diner is located in San Antonio off of exit 581 on Interstate 10 at 1112 Ackerman Road. The diner is a conversion build at the existing Petro Stopping Center, boasting 6,151 square feet and seating 148 guests. The new diner showcases Black Bear Diner’s updated design enhancements that focus on building modifications to expedite off-premise business while preserving the in-diner guest experience.

In 2023, Black Bear Diner expects to open approximately 15 new diners throughout its system-wide footprint. TravelCenters of America’s next Black Bear Diner opening will be in Tonopah AZ, with an anticipated mid-summer opening.
