Move over Kansas City BBQ, because real ramen culture is making its way to the area! Soon, guests will be able to enjoy the perfect balance of bold noodles with thick, rich broth as JINYA Ramen Bar gets set for its Overland Park grand opening on Monday, Feb. 27.

Located at 7761 W. 159th St. right by the Ball of Twine and the Kansas State Capitol, the area’s new go-to ramen spot will offer more than a dozen acclaimed dishes that are slowly simmered for 20 hours to ensure a deep flavor that is sure to satisfy any tastebuds. Grand opening festivities begin with the first 50 guests in line at 11 a.m. to receive free ramen bowl, and then again for the first 50 guests in line for dinner at 5 p.m. Plus, one lucky guest will receive a customized JINYA Ramen Bowl, tote bag, t-shirt and a $100 gift card as the Lucky Golden Bowl Diner.

“We’ve long had our eye on bringing delicious ramen to the Kansas City area, so we’re excited to finally be making our debut,” says JINYA Founder and CEO Tomo Takahashi. “We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome the community with open arms and see the smiles on everyone faces when they get that first bite of our bold noodles and thick, rich broth.”

To celebrate JINYA’s first restaurant in the area, Takahashi, along with Vice President of Operations Steve Gratz and Vice President of Marketing Cai Palmiter will all be in attendance for the opening ceremonies. Regular hours of operation will be 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

JINYA is also excited to offer the “Cha-Cha-Cha” ramen bowl for a limited time from Feb. 27 through March 13. This promotional item comes from the secret menu, so be sure to whisper when you ask your server!
