Tri-State-based restaurant, Bareburger, known for its organic, all-natural and ethically sourced ingredients, today announced the start of its “Serve and Save” promotion, which offers a 20% discount to all essential service employees—educators, librarians, hospital care team members, veterans and active duty military personnel, firefighters, EMS workers and law enforcement officers—on all in-person orders at participating Tri-State locations. Bareburger is also extending the same offer to members of AARP.

Qualifying essential service workers and AARP members can redeem the Serve and Save offer by presenting appropriate ID, when ordering in-person at a participating location. The 20% discount is valid for all restaurant purchases, including Bareburger’s popular lunch and happy hour specials. Online and third-party delivery service orders are not eligible for this promotion.

Bareburger launched Serve and Save for the holiday season as a way to give back to people who have given so much over the last three years since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, and in response to the impact of inflation, which is especially challenging for seniors on fixed incomes and workers whose incomes don’t match the societal value of the work they do. This is particularly challenging in New York, which was just ranked the most expensive city in the world on EIU’s Worldwide Cost of Living index report.

“As a former teacher, I’ve always had great appreciation for everything they do.  As a society, we always say how much we cherish teachers and how important they are, but many are working two jobs to make ends meet. It just doesn’t make sense. And the same goes for everyone we are honoring with this program,” says Euripides Pelekanos, CEO of Bareburger. “Everything is more expensive these days, especially in New York. We just want to put smiles back on people’s faces, and we hope this gesture will do exactly that.”
