Sports fans can prepare to score a Turtle Touchdown, while those looking for some good eats can easily step out of their shell at The Greene Turtle’s grand opening of its first restaurant in Brandywine on Monday, October 10.
The Greene Turtle is the perfect spot to hang out with friends and family while enjoying delicious food and a lively environment. Located at 15914 Crain Hwy, Unit A— in the popular Brandywine Crossing shopping center—the sports restaurant’s newest location will allow locals to do just that while enjoying some fun grand opening festivities.
“We can’t wait to open our doors and start making The Greene Turtle everyone’s favorite neighborhood hangout spot,” says franchisee Jamil Jamaldinian. “There is going to be a lot of appetizing food and hand-crafted cocktails to sample while also getting a chance to win some awesome prizes, so we look forward to everyone joining us on Monday for our grand opening.”
The excitement begins at 11 a.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring Jamaldinian, Co-Owner Mynor Hernandez, county officials and members of The Greene Turtle executive team. The Greene Turtle mascot will be on hand to take photos throughout the morning.
Fans will want to get there early too, as the sports restaurant will be giving away $10 in Turtle Bucks to the first 50 people in line. Turtle Bucks can be used on that day’s visit and customers must check-in at the host stand to win.
Everyone popping in for lunch will get a chance to spin the prize wheel and win The Greene Turtle swag. The prize wheel will be stationed outside the entry from noon to 3 p.m.
Inside the bar area, Kenny Holmes and his one-man-band will provide guests with a live rhythm and blues set from 5-8 p.m.
The Greene Turtle will “Cap” the festivities by giving away four suite tickets to enjoy a Washington Capitals game this season. Guests must register in-person for the raffle but don’t have to be present to win. The winner will be announced at 7:15 p.m.
