The Redwood Room will host an R&B party on the first Saturday of each month with Mind Motion and a list of rotating beverage partners such as Remy Cointreau.

The new menu features dishes using fresh ingredients sourced from the Bay Area such as Brussels Sprouts with Spicy Peanut Sauce, Crispy Shallot and Pickled Fresno Chili and Fried Chicken Sandwich with Smoky Honey Mustard, Dill Pickle on an Onion Poppy Seed Roll. The exclusive cocktail list includes:

Endless Summer: Crushed ice served long with Absolut Vodka, Liquid Alchemist Strawberry Syrup, lime juice, Angostura bitters, basil and topped with sparkling wine.

In addition to leading the culinary team at Redwood Room, Chef Corey serves as director of food and beverage property-wide, overseeing private events, in-room dining and Fredericks, the hotel’s newest eatery expected to reopen this fall with a refreshed dinner menu.

The Redwood Room, a San Francisco institution famous for its paneling carved from a single redwood tree, has been newly reenergized by global design and architecture firm Gensler with 21st century elegance that includes updated furniture and flooring, as well as an expansive new redwood bar. The restaurant’s redesign features a modern interpretation of the Art Deco style with clean lines and neutral tones. Redwood Room patrons will also find restored original light fixtures and artwork that includes four pieces believed to have been completed under Gustav Klimt’s supervision in his Vienna studio. These famed large-scale artworks were part of the original decor of the Redwood Room at its opening just after the repeal of Prohibition in 1933 for the San Francisco World’s Fair celebration.

The Redwood Room is located in The Clift Royal Sonesta Hotel at 495 Geary St. in San Francisco.
