Genghis Grill, the nation’s leading create-your-own bowl concept, is going green in its first partnership with a plant-based brand, Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods, to introduce new plant-based proteins for those seeking vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.

Available beginning June 16, Genghis Grill fans can order Dr. Praeger’s plant-based chick’n or sausage as a protein option in their craveable creation. Guests can also delight in one of two new chef bowls highlighting these Dr. Praeger’s products, carefully curated to be plant-forward and delicious. Packing in the greens, the Veggie Power Bowl features Dr. Praeger’s plant-based chick’n, hand-chopped red and green bell peppers, snap peas, corn, zucchini, squash, carrots and green onions all tossed with a signature, tangy 3G sauce and served on gluten-free cauliflower rice. Or, guests can enjoy the hearty Plant-Powered Sausage Bowl, featuring a nutritious blend of Dr. Praeger’s plant-based sausage, mushrooms, onions, spinach, and roasted garlic in a signature sweet and spicy teriyaki sauce, served with a choice of steamed white rice or cauliflower rice.

“At Genghis Grill, we have always aimed to provide a wide variety of options for guests to create delicious, nourishing meals with exciting flavors and fresh ingredients for all dietary preferences including vegan and vegetarian,” says Gregg Majewski, Chief Executive Officer of Genghis Grill. “Now, by partnering with Dr. Praeger’s, who are well-respected in this community, we know we are delivering premium, health-focused choices that will satisfy not only our plant-based fans but also those simply looking to explore new options. Our mission is to meet our guests where they are, no matter their diet or lifestyle every time they visit a Genghis Grill, and with Dr. Praeger’s we are delivering a whole new level of quality and innovation for them.”

Uniting with Dr. Praeger’s is Genghis Grill’s first partnership with a plant-based brand and marks the concept’s dedication to serving those with individual dietary needs. The vegan and gluten-free chick’n and sausage expand flavor possibilities beyond its current plant-based tofu option and helps serve consumers growing demand for plant-based protein options.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Genghis Grill, as it is clear they share a vision of providing fresh, nutritious options that are accessible and never compromise on flavor,” says Ken Krasnow, Chief Marketing Officer of Dr. Praeger’s. “The chef bowls are specifically crafted to highlight our premium products, inspiring even more people to explore just how delicious plant-based dishes can be. Vegan options are on the rise, and with Genghis Grill we are adding a whole new level of customization that is sure to delight.”

Genghis Grill has more than 80 fresh ingredients that are carefully cut and prepped every day, ensuring the perfect bite in each bowl. No matter what you’re craving or where you want to enjoy your meal, you’re always in control at Genghis Grill. The brand offers fans broad appeal and caters to various flavor preferences and lifestyles by offering keto, gluten-free, low-carb, vegan and vegetarian options. These two new bowls are the latest in the restaurants line of chef-crafted bowls, available for quick order online, or to order from the table, versus making your way through the Fresh Market Bar the traditional way.

Since launching 24 years ago in Dallas, Texas, Genghis Grill has put a focus on brand reimaging, heightened customer service, improved food quality and even more operational excellence as a way to continue to refine the customer experience. Today, the brand has over 50 locations open across the country, serving 3.2 million customers annually.

Genghis Grill is actively awarding locations to franchise partners who are looking to get in on the ground floor of a refreshed, reenergized concept. Ideal franchisees are sophisticated, well-capitalized operators who have multi-unit and development experience and the bandwidth to open at least three locations. Depending on geography, size of the store, configuration of the store and several other determining factors, the investment per store ranges from $346,600 to $973,500.
