The vibrant and rapidly growing Research Triangle will soon have a new go-to dining destination in Glasshouse Kitchen, a modern, eclectic, upscale American eatery with global flare, set to open in August 2022. Nestled in the lush greenery of a state-of-the-art AgTech Campus, Glasshouse Kitchen is the latest project by Raleigh restaurateurs Chris Borreson and Sara Abernethy.

Glasshouse Kitchen will provide a fresh, colorful and inventive dining experience, reflective of and inspired by its surroundings in one of the nation’s most advanced AgTech campuses in Research Triangle. Executive Chef Savannah Miller will helm the kitchen while Pastry Chef Ava Broadwell will lead all things bread and pastry. Glasshouse Kitchen will highlight the bounty of North Carolina while its evolving menus will be reflective of the seasons. Its cocktail menu will feature beloved classics with a contemporary twist that will surely delight guests alongside a thoughtfully curated wine program.

Executive Chef Savannah Miller joins Glasshouse Kitchen with an impressive resume, having previously worked in Boston at Matthew Jennings’ Townsman restaurant. Most recently, she worked under Chef Mike Lee as the opening Chef de Cuisine at M Tempura. Pastry Chef Ava Broadwell also brings extensive experience to Glasshouse Kitchen, having worked with regional farmers and millers to develop bread, pastry, and pizza programs in restaurants around the Denver area.

Open seven days a week and offering lunch, dinner and weekend brunch for guests, Glasshouse Kitchen’s clever and intentional menus are anchored by welcoming small plates, fresh salads, inventive sandwiches, large plates and neapolitan-style gourmet pizzas.  Anticipated fan-favorite offerings include a highly Instagrammable Charcuterie Board highlighting a rotating selection of artisanal meats and local cheeses, the Peach and Lamb Pizza topped with caramelized onion and demi glace, the Fried Fish for Two featuring local North Carolina snapper, za’atar roasted vegetables, arugula gremolata and dill creme fraiche, and, of course, The Glasshouse Burger topped with secret burger sauce.

“We specifically selected this location because of the unique and exciting ability to create a new dining destination for the Triangle,” say Owners Chris Borreson and Sara Abernethy. “This area has been historically underserved given the tens of thousands of people coming through every day, and with the enormous growth we’ve seen in Raleigh/Durham over the past few years, the demand for exceptional dining experiences is only going to grow.”

Glasshouse Kitchen resides in a stunning 3,000-sq-ft dining room centered by a stately quartz bar underneath large canopying greenery. Floor-to-ceiling windows and retractable glass doors give the space an enviable airiness, a welcomed oasis for lunch, brunch and dinner. Glasshouse Kitchen was designed by Phase Zero Designs.

Located within the lively and rapidly growing Research Triangle, Glasshouse Kitchen aims to serve locals and Triangle visitors alike as the premiere destination to grab a casual bite or celebrate a memorial milestone. Glasshouse Kitchen boasts a cutting-edge 3,500 sq-ft kitchen that will also house and operate their catering services.
