True Food Kitchen, the award-winning, seasonally-inspired restaurant & craft bar opened its first Miami location at The Falls. The opening of True Food Kitchen in Miami, located at 8888 SW 136th Street, marks the brand’s 6th restaurant in the state of Florida and 42nd location nationwide.

The brand is inspired by the philosophy that there’s no opposition between great tasting food and food that’s good for you. Co-founded by integrative medicine expert, Dr. Andrew Weil, the restaurant’s menu closely adheres to his anti-inflammatory food pyramid, which aims to counteract chronic inflammation and focuses on eating foods that help maintain optimal health. Simple ingredients are thus reimagined with bold combinations to highlight the natural tastes and health benefits of each flavor.

“We’re thrilled to bring the health-focused True Food Kitchen experience to Miami in hopes of enriching the community and in sharing our chef-driven, craveable dishes and drinks with this health-driven community, ” says Christine Barone, True Food Kitchen CEO. “The Falls is the perfect setting for us to inspire our new neighbors to eat better, feel better and live better through our diverse and fresh menu.”

True Food Kitchen invites guests to enjoy its flavor-forward menu for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Signature dishes include the Organic Tuscan Kale Salad, Ancient Grains Bowl, Spaghetti Squash Casserole, Grass-fed Burger and Edamame Dumplings, among many others. The brand will open the restaurant with its seasonal summer menu that will include new starters including the Summer Corn Soup and Watermelon Salad. Additionally, the menu will bring back returning seasonal favorites including Good Earth Kale Cobb, Spinach & Mushroom Pizza, Spicy Panang Curry, Grilled Sustainable Salmon and more.

Brunch favorites include the Smashed Avocado Toast, Garden Scramble, Strawberry Lemon Pancakes, seasonal mimosas and Rosé Sangria. True Food’s antioxidant-packed desserts include items like the famed Flourless Chocolate Cake and Chocolate Chip Cookies, along with a new seasonal dish, the Summer Mango Tart, all gluten-free and vegan. The restaurant’s lively scratch bar features fresh-pressed juices, organic teas, and natural refreshers, such as the Watermelon Lemonade, Blueberry Limeade, Sparkling Peach Tea, and Kale Aid. A selection of beer, wine and handcrafted cocktails featuring organic and gluten-free spirits are also available. Signature cocktails include the Citrus Skinny Margarita along with seasonal selections including the Watermelon Mojito and Peaches & Bourbon. The Kids Menu features creative, kid-friendly dishes like the Grass-fed Burger, Mozzarella & Organic Tomato Pizza and the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl to name a few.

True Food Kitchen at The Falls holds a total of 385 seats. Its vast, thoughtfully designed 11,291 square-foot dining room presents an open kitchen concept to bring guests closer to its culinary creations. The dining room is complete with a hand painted whimsical mural, designed by local artist Cinthia “Cynno” Santos of Chalk and Brush, inspired by the eatery’s signature green, fresh ingredients, and vision for a Green Goddess

“I really enjoyed collaborating with the True Food Kitchen design team to make their vision of a Green Goddess come to life,” says creator and artist Cinthia “Cynno” Santos of Chalk and Brush. “I drew inspiration from their colorful ingredients, the flow of surrounding falls, to True Food’s signature use of green, this Green Goddess is a visual representation of the feeling you get while eating a delicious healthy dish and listening to the sound of the flowing water.”

Eco-friendly materials are used throughout the restaurant, with dining chairs made of recycled soda bottles. The interior’s earthy color scheme, natural woods and locally-inspired artwork brings a modern and contemporary atmosphere to the restaurant, with indoor and outdoor garden basins filled with fresh herbs and spices spaced through the layout. For guests looking to dine outside, the expansive covered patio brings an industrial ambience with its high ceilings and muraled walls. The location also offers a private dining room accommodating up to eight guests, a separate To-Go entrance and counter and a full-service bar.

True Food Kitchen will open with a variety of ordering options. In-store, guests are offered the option to order via their mobile phone, allowing them to scan, order and pay directly from their device. Additionally, the full brunch, lunch and dinner menu is available for pick-up or delivery for each guest’s convenience.
