Recognized for their talent, passion, leadership and performance, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill honored its own at a recent national conference in Amelia Island, Florida.

According to Firebirds Wood Fired Grill CEO Stephen Kislow, the following were rewarded the company’s top honors in 2022 for their talent, passion, and performance:

John Glenn, Managing Partner of the Year – A resident of Birmingham, AL, John Glenn began his career at Firebirds in 2014 as Bar Manager and was promoted to General Manager in 2017 at its Nashville area location in Brentwood. In 2020, Glenn was promoted to Managing Partner. Prior to joining Firebirds, Glenn served as captain at Morton’s The Steakhouse.

Trevor Giggins, Executive Chef of the Year – A certified grillmaster and resident of Cumming, GA, Trevor Giggins joined Firebirds as Chef at its Alpharetta, GA location in 2018. He started his restaurant career at PF Changs China Bistro. Giggins was later hired as sous chef and went on to serve in various chef roles at The Cheesecake Factory before joining Firebirds’ team in Georgia.

Scott Friesen, Regional Manager of the Year – Scott Friesen began his career at Firebirds in 2018 as regional manager. Prior to that, Friesen served as a Joint Venture Partner at Bonefish Grill (2004 – 2018) overseeing operations in Tennessee and Georgia. Previous experience includes serving as managing partner at Hops Grill & Brewery in Knoxville, Tennessee from 1998 – 2003.
