The Kimpton Sawyer announced the appointment of Eric Scott Cohen as lead bartender. In his new role, Cohen will be responsible for leading bartending operations of the hotel’s rooftop restaurant and bar, Revival at the Sawyer. As Sacramento’s first rooftop lounge, Revival features a selection of locally inspired cocktails, mocktails and small bites, overlooking stunning views of Downtown Commons and the Golden 1 Center.

Bringing more than five years of bartending experience to the Kimpton Sawyer and having worked in other notable properties around Sacramento, Cohen is well-positioned to lead Revival’s stand-out beverage program. Cohen joins Revival most recently from Burgers and Brew in West Sacramento, where he served for four years as bartender. While there, Cohen was responsible for creating several original craft cocktails and liquor infusions.

“I am thrilled to join the incredibly talented team at the Kimpton Sawyer and to lead the mixology efforts at Revival,” says Cohen. “Revival is at the forefront of Sacramento’s nightlife scene and has been a favorite for locals and visitors for years. I am excited to bring my experience and creativity to this new position, further enhancing the experience for hotel guests and the local community.”

Outside of work, Cohen is a multi-instrumentalist and loves to hike, draw, and travel. A graduate of California State University, Sacramento, Cohen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

With lush seating, rich woods and brass, and striking views of Sacramento, Revival’s sleek indoor-outdoor setting is the perfect place for daytime pool lounge or a post-concert nightcap. Revival offers a host of weekly and monthly events to engage with the community, including Shuck Mondays with $1 oysters and $7 glasses of Chandon and Chandon Rosé, half-price bottles of wine every Tuesday, Vinyl Nights every Thursday, and all-night happy hour every Sunday night from 4:00 p.m. until closing. Signature cocktails include the Rosemary Paloma made with Altos Blanco, rosemary syrup, and grapefruit; the Feeling Peachy which includes Ketel One Botanicals Peach & Orange Blossom, cinnamon, and ginger beer; the Iron Lady featuring St. George Pear Brandy, Pimm’s, honey, and ginger beer; and more.
