GC Lounge, an interactive experience bringing together world-class golf and an innovative full-service bar and restaurant, will be opening the first of its concepts in Denver’s Uptown Neighborhood in July 2021.

The 3849 square-foot golf club will be able to accommodate 50 dine-in guests on the patio and approximately 148 guests inside. The indoor golf club and restaurant will feature four TrackMan golf simulators that allow guests to play on famed courses around the world including Pebble Beach, Shangri-La GC and Lidingö GC. For the less avid golfer, the TrackMan golf simulators offer mini games such as Capture the Flag, Closest to the Pin and a long drive contest feature.

Three TrackMan golf simulators will be available for rent on a reservation basis for $60 an hour ($40 for every additional hour) and include all of the clubs necessary to play a nine or full 18-hole round of golf, however guests are also welcomed and encouraged to bring their own. One bay will be available for walk-in guests for hour-long sessions only. Guests may enjoy play-by-the-hour golf experiences or simply stop in for a cocktail and a bite.

GC Lounge’s bar and kitchen program will be spearheaded by former 12@Madison Chef de Cuisine Toby Prout who has created an optimum menu and setting for a quick business lunch, an entertaining evening with friends or a dynamic date. Chef Prout will be bringing over 30 years of restaurant experience to GC Lounge. His menu takes a fun spin on country club fare and will include the classics such as club sandwiches (with house-roasted turkey), roasted chicken and crab cakes.

“I’ve worked for a number of outstanding local restaurants, but this may be one of my most exciting ventures yet,” says Toby Prout, Executive Chef of GC Lounge. “From the braised short ribs to the vegetable Bolognese, the crab cakes to a classic burger, foodies and casual diners alike are going to love this menu.”

GC Lounge partnered with local architecture and design studio Unum Collaborative to design a space inspired by golf movement, setting and style. Some of the architectural design elements are meant to resemble golf movement. Smooth, arching parabolic forms resemble the style of a golf swing while walls wrapped in turf and three floor-to-ceiling glass windows will pour natural light into the space. Local furniture shop LVTD Design, known for their contributions to restaurants such as Bamboo Sushi, Atomic Cowboy and Homegrown Tap & Dough, will be providing bar pieces, benches and banquette seating, among other pieces of furniture, for the concept.

“Golf has been a passion of mine from a young age, so it brings me great joy to be able to turn my passion into a business that is sure to bring joy and amazing memories to the lives of others,” says Michael Burbage, Founder and Principal Partner for GC Lounge. “We anticipate that our avid Coloradan golfers are going to love this concept because it’s not every day you get to play on the same courses as the pros.”

GC Lounge has its second location lease signed and approved for Metro Phoenix, Arizona with an anticipated Winter 2022 opening. The franchise does anticipate opening additional locations in the coming year, with sights set on Detroit, Orlando, Seattle and Charlotte, among other major cities 50-60 miles outside of a major metro.

GC Lounge will be located at 1210 E. 17th Avenue, south of Saint Joseph Hospital in Uptown in early July 2021. The “eat and play” concept will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., rain or shine.
