Smokey Bones’ Chicago ghost kitchen is moving to the new Kitchen United MIX location, a multi-ordering concept located at 205 W. Wacker Drive.  Beginning on Wednesday, May 19, guests can still order for pick up or delivery from smokeybones.com, kitchenunited.com and using third-party delivery apps. Guests can now also order through the MIX onsite ordering kiosk and dine-in at the virtual food hall.

The menu includes some of Smokey Bones’ most popular items of slow smoked ribs, pulled pork, grilled fish and salads, as well as a selection of sides.

The Smokey Bones’ ghost kitchen is also home to the brands two virtual restaurants, The Wing Experience and The Burger Experience.  The Wing Experience offers 50 flavors of wings and The Burger Experience features five different burgers starting at only $6.  The specialized menus only offer wings and burgers, crinkle cut fries, desserts and sodas.

“The Loop is a great location and gives us an opportunity to engage with customers who dine at the food hall while still serving our great barbecue, wings and burgers to those who prefer the convenience of ordering delivery,” said James O’Reilly, Smokey Bones CEO. “This move is part of our ongoing commitment to grow all three of our brands.”

Smokey Bones opened its first ghost kitchen in Chicago in June of 2020 in the Kitchen United River North facilities.  The “ghost” concept uses only a kitchen to prepare food that gets out the door and into the customers’ hands quickly.  Ghost kitchens are one of the industry’s fastest growing trends, especially during the pandemic, and enables Smokey Bones to grow its off-premises capabilities and efficiently expand its presence in urban areas in the U.S.
