We all love a delicious cocktail that makes you feel good, but how about one that does good for others, too? That’s exactly what will happen when you go to your nearby Smokey Bones and order The Skrewball, made with Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey, Kahlua, and half & half. The new cocktail makes a great dessert or late-night drink.

For every one of The Skrewball ordered, Smokey Bones will donate $1 to Children of Restaurant Employees (CORE). Children of Restaurant Employees is a national non-profit dedicated to providing financial relief when either the parent or child faces a health crisis, injury, death, or natural disaster.  It is a perfect match for Smokey Bones and Skrewball, a family-owned business that is the only female-owned, disability-owned, and minority-owned liquor brand in the industry. Even better, Skrewball has made an upfront donation of $25k to CORE.

“We are honored to be the first national restaurant chain to partner with CORE as our charity of choice,” says James O’Reilly, Smokey Bones CEO. “As a values-driven company, Smokey Bones strives to be a great place to work, and our partnership with CORE is a natural extension of our values, to who we are as an organization, and our commitment to what we call human-centric leadership. While we have introduced numerous benefits to help our team over the past year, CORE is an important step forward in providing crisis support not only for those in our own company, but also in the broader restaurant industry family as well.”

According to Shelia Bennett, executive director of CORE, “We are excited to partner with Smokey Bones and grateful for Smokey Bones’ dedication to help support the industry we all serve. The need for CORE services remains strong across the industry and we are humbled by Smokey Bones’ desire to help.”

“We’re grateful to continue contributing and helping to make a positive impact on the industry that has supported us for so long. We’re committed to assisting those who need it most and are excited to continue working with CORE and having Smokey Bones join the cause,” adds Brittany and Steven Yeng, co-founders of Skrewball Whiskey

Open in most areas to 1 a.m., Smokey Bones offers its Happiest Hours menu with food and drink specials in most locations from 3 to 6 p.m., and again from 10 p.m. until closing every day. With $3, $4, $5, and $6 items, guests can enjoy a quality, value-priced experience. For instance, starting at $4, guests can enjoy a Three Olives Vodka, Cruzan Rum or Johnnie Walker Red Scotch, a glass of Canyon Road Chardonnay or Woodbridge Merlot, Bud Light and nibble on skillet cornbread, boneless wings or a hot bag o’ donuts. Smokey Bones is one of the few casual dining brands that stays open late and offers two happy hour windows daily.
