This Valentine’s Day couples may have to be more creative in celebrating that special dinner au deux. Dining out may mean donning your warmest coat and gloves for an outdoor interlude on a patio or in a romantic igloo, while many will opt to dine at home.  Columbus-based Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) and its national Ocean Prime steak and seafood concept have all options covered. And the best news is all 16 Ocean Prime locations are able to finally offer various on-site dining options, including Beverly Hills and Chicago.

Dining Out – Indoor, Outdoor or Covered Terrace

Ocean Prime, with 16 locations in major cities around the US, is offering a special Valentine’s Day menu.  The romantic menu features either:

Roasted Sea Bass over Alaskan King Crab Gnocchi with Champagne Cream, topped with Baby Carrot Salad in a Preserved Lemon Pepper Vinaigrette (priced by market starting at $62 per person)

10oz. South African Lobster Tail with Lemon Garlic Butter (priced by market starting at $80 per person)

Ocean Prime’s award-winning regular menu will also be available, and all restaurants will open early on Valentine’s weekend.  Guests in Boston, Detroit and Denver who want to enjoy an extra-romantic touch can reserve the private outdoor greenhouses or igloos available in those markets.

Dining In—Valentine’s Day in A Box

Ocean Prime offers a sumptuous three-course meal that can be heated up and plated in your own kitchen.  The Valentine’s Day kit comes complete with chef-prepared ingredients and step-by-step instructions to cook and finish a Surf & Turf dinner for two with Chateaubriand and a choice of Garlic Shrimp Scampi or Alaskan King Crab Legs with Drawn Butter.

The meal includes a first course of Lobster Bisque and choice of two sides as well as sourdough rolls, soft pretzels  and whipped butter.  Price for the three-course meal is $199 with the Garlic Shrimp Scampi or $229 with Alaskan King Crab Legs. The Surf & Turf pairs perfectly with their exclusive Ocean Prime Red Blend from Trefethen Family Vineyards (priced separately).  The ideal end to a romantic evening is a dessert of chocolate fondue and strawberries. Couples also receive an Ocean Prime signature candle to set the mood.

Bubbly Beverages to Go

Whether Valentine’s Day consists of a Zoom date, dinner out, Galentine’s Day cocktails or dinner at home paired with a special romantic libation, Ocean Prime and Cameron Mitchell’s specialty restaurants have just the cocktail.  Their holiday specials include to go cocktails, as well as those that can be enjoyed onsite.

Cocktails kits are on the menu at Ocean Prime and feature a year-round fizzy favorite, “Berries and Bubbles for Two,” with Belvedere Citrus Vodka, Grand Marnier, Marinated Berries, Fresh Lemon and Domaine Chandon Brut.  For those looking for something stiffer this year, there’s the “Prime Manhattan for Two” with Woodford Reserve Private Selection, Carpano Antica Vermouth, Amaro Nonino, Rosemary Grapefruit Peppercorn Bitters.  Cocktail kits are $45 and come with the supplies to shake and serve the cocktails at home, two chocolate dipped strawberries, a recipe card, and a branded Valentine – so they’re ideal to enjoy or gift to a special someone.
