After an unexpected 9-month closure due to the pandemic, 50 Eggs Hospitality Group is elated to announce that CHICA is now taking reservations for the restaurant’s official reopening on Wednesday, December 9 in Miami’s historic MiMo district. This is the second location for the celebrated multi-sensory Latin-American dining experience to resume operations since COVID-19 halted service back in March; the flagship CHICA in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip reopened on June 4 on Restaurant Row at the Venetian Resort.

CHICA Miami’s long-awaited reopening has been in the works for months as Chef Lorena Garcia and her team diligently remained positive and proactive throughout the extended closure. “I couldn’t be happier to finally open the doors to CHICA and I am absolutely confident that the time is right to welcome our loyal guests back,” says Chef Garcia. “We’ve been working tirelessly to ensure the menu, service and space overall will provide all the vibrant and flavorful dishes, drinks and energy we are honored to offer, while our commitment to the health and safety of all who experience CHICA remains the focal point of all efforts.”

In accordance with local restaurant mandates, CHICA Miami has adopted an operating manifesto and pledges to meticulously abide by all current regulations as the dining landscape continues to evolve. “To finally be reopening CHICA feels like a collective Phoenix rising up from the ashes of the pandemic,” describes John Kunkel, 50 Eggs’ Founder & CEO. “We’ve been riding this unpredictable wave since March alongside all of our respected colleagues in the restaurant industry and there has been plenty of blood, sweat and tears as we navigated this seemingly impossible situation. The ability to pivot and remain determined has proven successful as we prepare to reopen our doors and the newly implemented elements at CHICA are a reflection of our entirely new perspective on dining out.”

CHICA’s design is the brainchild of Rockwell Group, a New York-based architecture and design firm who created a rich blend of contemporary and traditional influences for the space in a nod to the restaurant’s boldly creative cuisine. The soaring double-height restaurant has an elevated yet approachable atmosphere with tropical hues and regional inspirations ranging from Venezuela and Mexico to Cuba and Peru.

CHICA is located at located at 5556 NE 4th Ct, Miami, FL 33137 and will serve lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, happy hour and late-night menus along with a brand-new casual dining option with the announcement of CHICA Cantina. Those looking for a quick taco, burrito, quesadilla or bowl can enjoy al fresco or as takeout from CHICA’s small, but mighty little sister located on the South side of the restaurant’s exterior. CHICA Cantina will open on December 14 for lunch and dinner daily.
