Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern recently honored two restaurants and six associates for their outstanding performances in 2019. The awards were presented virtually during the company’s annual Leadership Conference.

“It is always an honor to recognize our hardworking associates, especially during these incredibly challenging times,” says Gary Callicoat, president, Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern. “We are extremely proud of these leaders who represent the ‘Bucket Life’ culture through their commitment to hospitality and involvement in local communities, which will pave the way for years to come.”

Awards were presented to Rusty Bucket restaurants as well as outstanding associates.

2019 Rusty Bucket Restaurant Awards

Streetfighter Award: Rusty Bucket in Northville, MI, was honored with the Streetfighter Award, which recognizes the restaurant that is most active and engaged in their local community. In 2019, Rusty Bucket Northville hosted several Dine ‘n Donates resulting hundreds of dollars donated to local schools and organizations.

Store of the Year Award: Rusty Bucket in New Albany, OH, was named Store of the Year. The New Albany location is led by General Manager Jason Stanley and Executive Chef Mike Gardner.

2019 Rusty Bucket Leadership Awards

Executive Chef of the Year: Executive Chef Janay Clark of Rusty Bucket in Liberty Center, OH, was honored as the Executive Chef of the Year.

General Manager of the Year: Sam Adams was named Rusty Bucket’s General Manager of the Year. Adams is the general manager for the Indianapolis restaurant location.

Rising Star Award: Bill Murphy was named Rusty Bucket’s Rising Star. Murphy is the sous chef at the Rusty Bucket Bexley location in Ohio.

Sous Chef of the Year Award: Antonio Perez was named Sous Chef of the Year. Perez is the sous chef at the Rusty Bucket Easton Town Center restaurant in Ohio.

Dining Room Manager of the Year: Stew Stephens was named Dining Room Manager of the Year. Stephens is the dining room manager at the Sarasota, FL, restaurant location.

Bucket Life Award: This year’s Bucket Life Award was presented to Rick Lindeboom, Rusty Bucket’s regional chef. Lindeboom has been with Rusty Bucket for 18 years and is an integral part of the company. His current role involves menu development, associate training, chef hiring and training, overseeing restaurants and the overall expansion for Rusty Bucket. Lindeboom always brings out the best in his team members and has excelled in further developing Rusty Bucket’s menu and mentoring chefs. His goal is to always make sure that the guest leaves happy, and that associates have what they need to ensure they always deliver Rusty Bucket’s genuine hospitality.
