Frisch’s Big Boy has found an innovative and patriotic solution to the nation’s apparent coin shortage, attributed to the partial closure of the economy. The fast-casual restaurant is offering its guests the opportunity to “Round Up” their checks, to the nearest dollar, to support the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) mission to honor the heroes who’ve served and their families. All gifts may be made by cash, credit card, debit card or Frisch’s gift card.

While checking out at participating Frisch’s dining rooms, drive-thrus and carry out, guests may also make a charitable donation of $5 or $10 to Disabled American Veterans. DAV is a nonprofit charity that provides a lifetime of support for veterans of all generations and their families, helping more than one million veterans in positive, life-changing ways each year.

“Frisch’s Big Boy is thrilled to find a charitable answer for the coin shortage while bringing change into the lives of U.S. veterans. Whether it’s one cent or 99, we know our guests are eager to Round Up and support our nation’s veterans,” says Jason Vaughn, president and CEO of Frisch’s Big Boy.

“The Frisch’s Big Boy family continues to find creative ways to be here for veterans and their families,” adds Marc Burgess, CEO of DAV. “DAV appreciates the generosity of Frisch’s guests and the veterans we serve are grateful for Frisch’s longtime partnership.”
