Managing Partner Bruce Finkelman of the hospitality collective 16” on Center (Dusek’s Board & Beer, Longman & Eagle, Revival Food Hall) and Michelin-Starred Executive Chef-Partner Noah Sandoval of Oriole, Kumiko and Kikko announced their forthcoming collaborative venture — Pizza Friendly Pizza— this summer.

In response to the changing hospitality landscape, Finkelman made the hard decision to reinvent his beloved Ukrainian Village mainstay Bite Cafe after over 25 years, collaborating with Sandoval to dream up an eatery that will serve the Empty Bottle and the neighborhood community it resides in.

Following years of a growing camaraderie born from a shared passion for music and food, the two small business owners laid out the preliminary details for Pizza Friendly Pizza over text message. The new eatery will bring a menu of personal inspired pizza and sandwiches created by the fine dining mastermind to the Ukrainian Village neighborhood this summer.

“I have worked alongside Noah for many years, and have had the pleasure of watching his career blossom,” says Finkelman. “Noah changed the way I looked at fine dining by adding a kindness and genuine personality to his craft. Our shared love of live music will create a space that honors the Bite / Bottle community lineage, while creating a concept that can live in this new culinary age
