Restaurateur Ashok Bajaj of the Knightsbridge Restaurant Group announced the return of service at many of his popular restaurants. Adhering to the 50 percent capacity regulations currently in place, guests will find the full menus at each of Bajaj’s restaurants. Curbside pickup will also still be available at Rasika, Rasika West End, and Sababa, as well as Annabelle. Service will resume on June 23 for dinner exclusively, Tuesday through Sunday evenings, except for Rasika West End, which will also feature a lunch menu daily. 

“With welcoming enthusiasm, all of us at Knightbridge Restaurant Group are so pleased to be able to reopen the doors to six of our restaurants, after updating each location to adhere to the new safety guidelines for dining on premises,” states Ashok Bajaj. “We have been able to add or enhance outdoor seating at all of the opening restaurants except Rasika on D Street, N.W. The restaurants have all been reconfigured for social distancing, with seating at a minimum of six feet apart. Guests can rest assured we have added extra safety measures in both the dining room and kitchens to follow the new protocol guidelines. To help maintain a touchless environment, our menus will be available through each guest’s smartphone with a QR code.”      

Rasika Penn Quarter, located at 633 D Street, NW, 20004 will serve dinner Sunday, Tuesday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday nights, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Monday. Rasika West End, located at 1190 New Hampshire Avenue, NW, 20037, will be serving dinner from 5 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The restaurant is closed on Monday. Lunch will be served daily Tuesday through Sunday, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., and the patio is open, weather permitting, for al fresco dining as well. Both Rasika locations showcase James Beard award-winning Group Executive Chef Vikram Sunderam’s a la carte lunch and dinner menus. Annabelle, located at 2132 Florida Ave., NW, 20008, is also offering a summer menu for evening dining and curbside pickup showcasing some of James Beard award-winning Executive Chef Frank Ruta’s most notable dishes. Annabelle’s menu features fresh and flavorful, locally inspired cuisine that tells the story of the local growers and producers and features the best quality products from around the world. Hours of operation for dining in the restaurant will be Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday, from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Monday. Sababa, located in the heart of Cleveland Park at 3311 Connecticut Avenue, 20008 reopens for dinner Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Monday. The menu is created by Executive Chef Ryan Moore who takes inspiration from both Jewish and Arab cuisine, exemplifying the true melting pot that comprises Israeli fare. Bindaas, which is an Indian slang term meaning independent, cool, and carefree, features Group Executive Chef Vikram Sunderam’s modern street foods of India. The first location at 3309 Connecticut Avenue, Washington, DC, 20008 is next door to Sababa and shares an outdoor patio.  The restaurant’s approachable menu invites exploration of savory snacks, kebabs, with vegetarian options as well as pork, fish, chicken, and beef street food dishes that are easy on the wallet.
