Friendly’s Restaurants are continuing to meet customers’ evolving mealtime needs with the introduction of Family Ice Cream Sundae Kits, now available through takeout and delivery. The kit, designed in response to families’ needs for hands-on activities as well as a rise in demand for ice cream, is located under the “Catering and Family Meals” section on online menus.
The Family Ice Cream Sundae Kit includes a carton of ice cream (choose a flavor from choices available at pickup or by calling the store if ordering for delivery), three ice cream toppings, whip topping, and cups and cones for serving.
“With homebound families looking for ways to keep kids entertained and elevate moods, we thought, how else can we bring our unique restaurant experience to families at home,” says Dennis Pfaff, Chief Operating Officer, FIC Restaurants Inc. “Amid the uncertainty we’re all facing, something so simple as a make-your-own ice cream sundae can bring additional comfort and a sense of hope.”
In recent weeks, Friendly’s has seen a spike in orders for ice cream delivery, as Americans seek out their favorite comfort foods during a time of heightened anxiety over the current health and economic crisis.
