Through fundraising initiatives in 2019, including its annual Dine Out for No Kid Hungry campaign and charity golf tournament, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria announced total donation amounts surpassing $192,000 for Share our Strength’s No Kid Hungry program. This year’s donation brings Grimaldi’s total fundraising efforts for No Kid Hungry to more than $1 million since its partnership with the nonprofit began in 2013.

For each dollar raised, No Kid Hungry helps to provide 10 meals to hungry children across the U.S.  Today there are over 11 million children living in food insecure homes, which is 1 in 7 children. Through its fundraising efforts, Grimaldi’s has partnered with No Kid Hungry to provide over 10 million meals in seven years with the goal to end childhood hunger in America.

This September, Grimaldi’s gifted customers with bounce back cards to match donations in increments of $5, up to a total of $25 per visit. Additionally, for the second year in a row, the restaurant hosted a charity golf tournament benefiting No Kid Hungry on Friday, October 11 at the Westin Kierland Golf Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.

As a proud partner of No Kid Hungry, Grimaldi’s is humbled by the support of patrons across its 42 locations for the nonprofit over the past seven years and is honored to continue fighting childhood hunger alongside No Kid Hungry in the years to come. Large fundraising support was also shared by charity golf sponsors Performance Foodservice, PepsiCo, Consolidated Concepts, The Mark Wine Group, The Wine Group/Imagery and Jani-King International, Inc.

“I am beyond humbled by the overwhelming generosity of our partners,” says Eric Greenwald, president and chief operating officer at Grimaldi’s. “It is truly remarkable to witness the overwhelming support of this organization and to give back in such high volumes year after year thanks to the generous support of our loyal guests and vendors.”
