The Toasted Yolk Café is in growth mode. In 2010, Chris Milton and Mathew DeMott opened their first breakfast and lunch specialty restaurant. Shortly after the start of 2020, The Toasted Yolk Café will have 14 locations in and around the Houston area. Paul W Vernon, Executive Vice President in the Retail Division at Henry S. Miller Brokerage, and Campbell Vise, Associate in the same division, are negotiating leases and working to help the company expand throughout the state of Texas.

“Based on their meteoric growth over the last three years, I would say The Toasted Yolk Café is being well received by their customers, franchisees and landlords,” Vernon says.

Two restaurants opened recently. In the Woodlands, The Toasted Yolk Café corporate office opened a restaurant at East Shore Place, 10189 Grogans Mill Road in August 2019. In late September, a franchisee welcomed diners to The Toasted Yolk in Phoenicia Center, 12151 Westheimer Road, Suite 4, Houston, Texas. Before the end of 2019, another franchise location will be the first inside Houston’s North Loop 610 Heights neighborhood at 4601 Washington Avenue, Suite 130.

After the start of the New Year, three more franchise locations are scheduled for openings:

  • January 2020 – Westmont Shopping Center, 6455 Phelan Blvd., Beaumont
  • February 2020 – The Shoppes of Cypress Mill, Highway 290 and Cypress Mill Place Blvd., Cypress
  • February 2020 – The Crossing at Katy Fulshear, 6727 FM 1463, Suite 150, Katy
  • In addition to the 14 existing or planned restaurants, Vernon and Vise are currently looking for locations in the Dallas area.

Open for breakfast and lunch, The Toasted Yolk Café closes at 3 pm to ensure work/life balance for employees. The restaurant serves beer and wine, a unique offer among restaurants of its type, and is currently franchising throughout the state of Texas.
