Matthew Ross has been appointed director of food & beverage of the celebrated bar and culinary concepts within Kimpton The Rowan Palm Springs: 4 Saints, Juniper Table, High Bar and Window Bar.

Ross comes to Palm Springs from Los Angeles, where he served as director of food & beverage operations for the Farmer’s Daughter Hotel and its restaurant TART. During his tenure at the boutique property, Ross substantially increased food and beverage sales, more than doubled room service sales, and implemented a successful catering and special events program. Ross previously spent 10 years at California Pizza Kitchen, during which time he served as regional marketing manager for 12 locations and worked directly with the chain’s founders to expand their LA Food Show concept.

“We are thrilled to welcome Matthew Ross to 4 Saints and Juniper Table,” says Executive Chef Troy N. Thompson. “With years of proven success in like positions, Matthew has the enthusiasm and expertise to make our third year of service the most successful yet, and I look forward to collaborating.”

In his new role, Ross oversees property-wide banquet and catering operations, manages all front and back-of-house food & beverage staff, and works closely with Executive Chef Troy N. Thompson and Beverage Director Andy Nelson to continually enhance the guest dining and drinking experience. Ross’ immediate priorities include establishing 4 Saints’ recently launched weekend brunch, rolling out a new menu at Juniper Table and building programming at the rooftop High Bar.

Juniper Table, 4 Saints, High Bar and Window Bar are located within Kimpton The Rowan Palm Springs at 100 W. Tahquitz Canyon Way in Palm Springs, Calif.
