Federal Realty Investment Trust is welcoming a new tenant to the Barracks Road Shopping Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. First Watch, a restaurant focused on breakfast, brunch and lunch, will open its first Charlottesville location to the public on April 22 at 7 a.m.

The restaurant is the fastest-growing daytime only restaurant operator in the U.S., taking an elevated approach to its cuisine with both traditional and innovative offerings, which are made-to-order using farm fresh ingredients. The restaurant, located at 1114B Emmet St N, Charlottesville, VA 22903, will be open daily from 7 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

First Watch joins a number of other restaurants at Barracks Road Shopping Center, including HotCakes, Peter Chang China Grill, Five Guys, Chopt and Zinburger. The restaurant hired 35 employees.

“We can’t wait to the open the doors of the First Watch in the Charlottesville community,” says Richard Frakes, general manager of First Watch. “Our menu provides options that accommodate a variety of palates and we’re eager to serve the local community here.”

First Watch will occupy approximately 3,650 square feet of space. The restaurant will be the chain’s first Virginia location to feature a bar area and serve craft cocktails.

The restaurant is making donations back to the V Foundation for Cancer Research throughout its pre-opening activities taking place this weekend for friends and family.
