True Food Kitchen, the award-winning restaurant brand that has pioneered health-driven dining, has chosen Midtown Tampa for the company’s first West Central Florida location. The brand currently has several Florida locations in Boca Raton, Jacksonville, and Naples.

Co-founded by world renowned integrative medicine expert Dr. Andrew Weil, True Food Kitchen’s thoughtfully crafted, seasonal menu is rooted in the principles of the anti-inflammatory food pyramid – emphasizing wholesome, simple ingredients with thoughtful preparations to highlight the natural health benefits and flavors of each ingredient. From nutrient-dense staples and responsibly sourced proteins to little-known superfoods, True Food Kitchen is committed to sourcing the most creative and freshest in-season ingredients.

“We’re thrilled that True Food Kitchen chose Midtown Tampa for its first restaurant in the region,” says Nicholas Haines, CEO, The Bromley Companies. “True Food Kitchen will be an incredibly positive environment for the residents, employees and visitors of Midtown Tampa, and a destination for people throughout the Tampa Bay area looking for delicious, healthy dining.”

True Food Kitchen’s flavor-forward menu rotates seasonally to allow guests to experience the season’s most delicious and nutrient-dense produce at the peak of its freshness and flavor. The menu features a variety of handcrafted cocktails and freshly pressed natural beverages, as well as signature dishes like the Ancient Grains Bowl, Grass-fed Steak Tacos and Inside Out Quinoa Burger. True Food Kitchen is dedicated to accommodating the food preferences and restrictions of its guests; many of the brand’s delicious dishes are appropriate for a vegan, vegetarian and/or gluten-friendly lifestyle.

“We’re on pace to bring first-to-market experiences such as True Food Kitchen to the Tampa Bay region,” adds Haines. “True Food Kitchen is an example of how Midtown Tampa will showcase restaurants new to Tampa Bay and elevate the dining and entertainment options in the region.”

Midtown’s wellness attributes include a walking trail around the 3-acre lake, green open spaces, cross fitness stations, and programmed healthy lifestyle activities throughout the public space. True Food Kitchen joins Whole Foods Market at Midtown, America’s Healthiest Grocery Store™, expanding the healthy dining options planned for the Midtown District.

True Food Kitchen’s prominent location off the Himes Avenue entrance puts this 5,000-square foot restaurant front and center in Midtown Tampa. The Tampa restaurant will feature a bright, vibrant dining area with an open kitchen bringing guests closer to their culinary craft. Additionally, the restaurant will feature an outdoor covered patio.

Midtown Tampa is spearheading Tampa’s dramatic transformation as the city’s hottest new destination district. Midtown is uniquely positioned to connect Downtown Tampa with the Westshore District. Situated at the southeast corner of North Dale Mabry Highway and Interstate 275, Midtown Tampa will have visibility from more than 230,000 cars per day. Construction is expected to begin on the first phase in early 2019.
