Tom Fleming, executive chef at Crossroads Diner, will open Chez Dip French Dip Sandwiches on Monday, December 17 in Legacy Hall, located at 7800 Windrose Ave. in Plano.

Located on the Hall’s first floor, it will serve signature hot sandwiches made with 100% Black Angus Roast Beef or Roasted Turkey, as well as house made sides. Each sandwich is created from daily roasted meat that is sliced thinly made to order. Chez Dip will be open Sunday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

“I was drawn to Legacy Hall’s European-style food hall concept and thought that Chez Dip French Dip Sandwiches would be a perfect complement to its other diverse cuisine offerings,” says Chef Fleming. “Our goal is to keep it simple and do it well. We want to make the best hot sandwiches around, with the best ingredients – our roast beef and turkey are sourced from several companies right here in North Texas.”

Chez Dip’s menu will include the Classic French Dip (freshly roasted Black Angus Beef, warm baguette baked in house, melted Smoked Gouda cheese, pickled red onions, roasted garlic aioli, and beef jus for dipping) and the Roasted Turkey Dip (herb roasted turkey breast, red pepper hummus, tomato caper relish, and in-house beef jus for dipping). Sandwiches will be available as a 6” Petit Baguette or 8” Grand Baguette, and each will be served with a side of Chef Fleming’s signature Béarnaise Potato Salad or a bag of potato chips. Sides include Horseradish Cream or Béarnaise Potato Salad.

Prior to opening Chez Dip French Dip Sandwiches, Chef Fleming worked under the tutelage of his mentor Chef Jean Joho ultimately helping to open and operate Brasserie Jo for Joho, which won the James Beard Foundation Award for “Best New Restaurant.” In North Texas he has served as Executive Chef for acclaimed restaurants including Mediterraneo, Riviera, Lombardi Mare, Pappas Brothers’ Steak House, Old Hickory Steakhouse at the Gaylord Texan, and Central 214.
