All of the artisanal Crave Brothers Farmstead Cheeses are made with milk from the Crave family’s own dairy herd and are sustainably produced. The farmstead cheese-making facility uses 100 percent green power, and practices water conservation and recycling. An anaerobic biodigester produces enough electricity to power not only the Crave Brothers Farm and the farmstead cheese-making plant, but also more than 300 homes in their community.

Every day, Crave Brothers Farmstead Cheese produces 10,000 pounds of cheese, all under the direction of licensed cheese maker George Crave. Earlier this year, he was inducted into the New World Chapter of The Guilde Internationale des Fromagers in acknowledgement of his contributions to the success of cheese produced in the United States, as well as the farmstead- focused commitment of Crave Brothers Farmstead Cheese.

Crave Brothers Farmstead Classics include Crave Brothers Mascarpone, Crave Brothers Fresh Mozzarella, and Crave Brothers Farmers Rope String Cheese. Crave Brothers Mascarpone is a rich, velvet-textured cheese made from fresh sweet cream, and has been honored with more than 30 awards. This year, for example, Crave Brothers Mascarpone won the First Place Award in its category—Open Class Soft Cheese—at the 2018 World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contest, and a First Place Award at the 2018 Dodge County Fair Cheese Judging in Beaver Dam, WI.

Crave Brothers Marinated Fresh Mozzarella Balls also won First Place at the 2018 Dodge County Fair, as well as the overall Merit Award. In addition, Marinated Fresh Mozzarella Balls placed First at the 2018 World Cheese Championships, and Second at the 2018 American Cheese Society. Crave Brothers Farmers Rope String Cheese won the Second Place/Red Ribbon award in the Italian Cheese—Pasta Filata category at this year’s Dodge County Fair.
