Unified Brands, a leading manufacturer of foodservice equipment, announced that Derek Brodt has joined the institutional accounts team as Business Development Manager for the Eastern Territory. In his new role, Brodt will be based in Orlando, Florida and will focus on developing and managing Unified’s healthcare businesses across the United States.
Brodt has spent the past three years working within the Unified Brands operations team in Jackson, MS. Over the past year, he gained insightful knowledge as a Production Manager overseeing the Groen product line and collaborating with the company’s engineering, marketing, and materials departments.
The company also announced that Rachael Sassarini has joined the institutional accounts team at Unified Brands as Business Development Manager for the Western Territory. In her new role, Sassarini will be based in Mesa, Arizona and will focus on developing and managing Unified’s K-12 business across the United States.
Sassarini’s most recent experience includes a sales position for a medical device manufacturing firm. She also brings years of foodservice experience as a co-owner and operator of a family catering business.
