Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill, a Portland, Oregon-based restaurant concept known for its from-scratch cooking and seasonal menus with fresh, local ingredients and extensive craft beer & cocktail menu, was recently named one of the “12 Most Successful Emerging Restaurant Chains” by FSR Magazine. The restaurants in this list are “poised for big things in 2018 and beyond.” Thirsty Lion currently has eight locations and announced Wednesday that it will be opening its second Texas location in November 2018 at the upcoming mixed-use power center, Glade Park in Euless. They also have a third location scheduled for a May 2019 opening at the Grandscape project in The Colony.

Euless is a rapidly growing community just Northwest of Dallas and one of the ‘Mid Cities’ in North Texas which includes Euless, Colleyville, Hurst, and Bedford. This area is conveniently located near DFW International Airport. Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill will be a tenant of Glade Parks, a 194-acre mixed use power center with 800,000 square feet of multi-tenant retail and restaurant, conveniently located off State Highway 121. Glade Parks Town Center will feature a beautifully landscaped plaza, an outdoor central area that will be a location for relaxation, local entertainment and family friendly programming to complement the Center’s dynamic “shop, dine and play” mix of premier brands. Thirsty Lion will be a great addition to Euless as a place for family and friends to gather to enjoy the scratch-made dishes and cocktails they have to offer.

Thirsty Lion will feature 7,500 square feet of interior space including a 32-seat bar. Outside, the gastropub will boast an expansive 1,800 square foot patio with large fire pits with group seating and flat-screens, perfect for beautiful sunshine-filled days and chillier winter and spring nights. The location will also showcase an open-air kitchen, a large craft beer selection and a hearth-baked pizza oven, all trademarks of the Thirsty Lion brand.

Since opening its first location in Portland, Oregon, Thirsty Lion has quickly expanded into Arizona and Colorado and says that opening multiple locations in Texas was an easy decision given its great business climate, dynamic cultural offerings, and established reputation as a sports and retail mecca. “We feel that Thirsty Lion is moving into this exciting area at just the right time,” said Thirsty Lion CEO John Plew. “We’ve experienced enormous success with our first Texas location in Irving and we think Euless offers similar opportunities for success,” says Plew, the president and CEO of Concept Entertainment Group Ltd., parent company of Thirsty Lion.

Thirsty Lion’s culinary commitment is to provide an eclectic variety of cuisines, with an emphasis on local ingredients and bold flavors. A seasonal fresh sheet will focus on the changing season’s offerings, featuring unique ingredients including fresh seafood, quality meats and local vegetables and fruits. At each location, the bar features a large selection of craft beers on tap, many of which are local to the city, offering a beer on hand for every plate and every palate. The gastropub also features unique craft cocktails that utilize combinations of fresh fruit purees, juices and premium liquors, as well as 25 different wines by the glass.
