Quiet Light Communications (QLC), a full-service, B2B, food and nutrition marketing communications firm is excited to announce the expansion of its creative, client services and digital teams in response to the company’s rapid growth.

As our customers’ needs evolve, we are more prepared to offer a broader capabilities portfolio and added expertise while building on the personalized and dedicated service that has been our hallmark for nearly 20 years.”

New Creative, Account Services and Digital Team Members:

Mike Huffington brings his passion and insight to the QLC creative team as videographer/illustrator, responsible for creating engaging stories and videos. A Rockford native, Mike previously served as an instructional technician in the mass communications department at Rock Valley College and worked extensively as a freelance director and videographer throughout the Midwest. He holds an Associate of Arts degree in mass communications from Rock Valley College in Rockford, Ill.

Jennifer Ohlinger joins QLC as client services director. Prior to joining Quiet Light, Jennifer spent 18 years at Ingredion (formerly Corn Products) serving as manager, corporate communications and marketing communications manager for the U.S. commercial food ingredients, personal care and industrial businesses. She holds a Bachelor of Science in mass communications, media management from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Daniel Schultz is a member of the digital team. As digital marketing specialist, he is responsible for SEO, conversion rate optimization and creating data-backed marketing strategies for QLC clients. Dan started and ran several successful businesses in digital marketing and also freelanced as a content writer. He studied engineering at Rock Valley College in Rockford, Ill., and Illinois Central College in East Peoria.

Jennifer Strike is also a new addition to the creative team as Designer, where she is responsible for designing engaging booth graphics, print and digital ads and creative ideation. She formerly worked at Meredith Xcelerated Marketing, designing an ontrend app and website, digital advertisements and more. Jenn holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design with a minor in advertising from Iowa State University.

Pavlo Tkachov is interactive developer at Quiet Light. For the past six years, Pavlo managed his own web development business in the Ukraine, serving both local and international clients. He is responsible for innovative web development and cuttingedge interactive design at Quiet Light.

Jean-Pierre Vil joins the digital team as online marketing assistant at Quiet Light. Prior to this, he was a social media evaluator at Appen Global and a freelance digital marketing consultant. Jean-Pierre brings thoughtful and sharp evaluation to his current work in digital analysis and SEO. He holds a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Northern Illinois University.

In addition to growing the team through new hires, Quiet Light has reassigned employees to streamline business processes and work flow.

Katie Barisa (formerly, online marketing assistant and business development assistant) is promoted to client services coordinator and is responsible for project and content management. Her previous experience at QLC included SEO and analytics management, social media and website maintenance and new business development. She is currently working on a project management certification.
